Paulina Syracuse, MS

Paulina Syracuse, MS, received her Master’s in Experimental Psychology from Saint Joseph’s University. While at SJU, she studied mindfulness and what makes individuals interested or motivated to practice mindfulness as well as examined relationships between stress and depression. She is currently a second year doctoral student in the clinical psychology PsyD program at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and is currently a Graduate Assistant for a study examining long-term biopsychosocial outcomes for individuals using medical marijuana at PCOM. She will be completing a doctoral practicum at the Center for Cognitive Therapy (CCT) at Penn in the upcoming year emphasizing diagnostic assessment. Her clinical interests include working with individuals with anxiety, mood, and eating disorders, including OCD, panic disorder, PTSD, and depressive disorders, as well as stress-related or life adjustment concerns. She uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Exposure and Response Therapy interventions and incorporates mindfulness and acceptance-based techniques in her work with clients.
