Paulina Syracuse, Psy.D
Dr. Paulina Syracuse, PsyD, MS, is a clinical psychologist in Pennsylvania and is able to provide telepsychology services to patients living in states that participate in PSYPACT. Dr. Syracuse has worked at the Center for Hope and Health since 2021 specializing in using evidence-based, cognitive-behavioral interventions to treat adolescents and young adults with OCD, PTSD, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, and body image concerns.
Dr. Syracuse received her Master’s in Experimental Psychology from Saint Joseph’s University and Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM). During her doctoral program, she worked at the Center for Cognitive Therapy and the Center for the Treatment and Study of Anxiety at the University of Pennsylvania where she received specialized training in cognitive-behavioral assessment and treatment, including Exposure and Response Prevention for OCD, Prolonged Exposure for PTSD, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) for anxiety disorders, and Habit Reversal Training for body-focused repetitive behaviors. She has also received specialized training in Cognitive Behavior Therapy – Enhanced and Family-Based Therapy for eating disorders through the Center for Hope and Health. She completed her doctoral internship through the Center for Brief Therapy at PCOM and MainLine Health system where she worked in an integrated behavioral health model in primary care offices implementing CBT. Most recently, Dr. Syracuse completed postdoctoral training through the Center for Hope and Health. In conjunction with CBT, Dr. Syracuse also incorporates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy techniques in her work with clients.
