Liv Fante, M.S., M.S., is a 5th-year doctoral candidate in the APA-accredited Clinical Psychology (PsyD) program at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM), where she also earned her MS in Clinical Psychology. Previously, she completed her MS in Experimental Psychology and BS in Psychology from Saint Joseph’s University. Her clinical training emphasizes evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy-Enhanced (CBT-E), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE), and other specialized interventions. She also incorporates Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy techniques in her work with patients.
Currently, Liv is completing her doctoral internship through the Center for Brief Therapy at PCOM and MainLine Health system, where she works in an integrated behavioral health model in primary care offices implementing CBT.
Previously, Liv completed training at the Center for Cognitive Therapy (CCT) at the University of Pennsylvania, where she delivered tailored CBT interventions for various conditions, including anxiety, depression, OCD, personality disorders, and life stressors. Her training also involved conducting in-depth diagnostic assessments and writing evaluation reports using the cognitive model.
Liv’s research and clinical interests include working with adolescents and adults to treat eating disorders, anxiety disorders, OCD, depressive disorders, body image concerns, relationship difficulties, and adjustment-related challenges. She recently defended her dissertation, which examined factors associated with and predictive of the development and maintenance of relationship OCD (ROCD). Liv is also passionate about working with children presenting with anxiety, mood, and obsessive-compulsive-related disorders. She takes an evidence-based, collaborative, and compassionate approach to care, helping individuals develop practical skills and make meaningful changes that improve their overall well-being and quality of life.
Liv previously served as CHH’s intake coordinator and office manager, where she helped schedule new patients and assisted with patient concerns.
