Dr. Julie Thompson

Dr. Julie Thompson is a PA Licensed Clinical Psychologist. She provides treatment for anxiety, depression, adjustment issues, body image concerns, eating disorders, self-injurious behaviors, OCD and PTSD. Dr. Thompson specializes in cognitive behavioral therapy. 

Dr. Thompson completed her undergraduate degree at Penn State University with a major in Sociology and a minor in Women’s Studies. She completed her graduate training at LaSalle University, where she obtained her Masters of Arts and PsyD in Clinical Psychology. Her dissertation, “Exploring Weight Bias Among Health Professionals in College Health Centers,” examined the prevalence of weight bias across health care settings and negative impact on patient care. 

Dr. Thompson completed her APA accredited pre-doctoral internship at Holcomb Behavioral Health, with training rotations in crisis services, child and adolescent truancy intervention, substance abuse treatment, and outpatient therapy. Her post doctoral training was completed through Springfield Psychological’s intensive school based program, providing group and individual therapy to high school students at risk for out of school placement due to mental health concerns.
