Alyssa Hertz, Psy.D

Alyssa is a Licensed Psychologist who received her Doctor of Psychology degree in Clinical Psychology at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine where she also received her M.S. in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling as well as in Clinical Psychology. Alyssa has extensive experience treating patients with eating disorders, and completed her practicum at the Anxiety and OCD Treatment Center in Wilmington, DE where she focused on patients with OCD. She also completed an internship in Houston, TX at Baylor College of Medicine where she is currently doing her post doc working with individuals with OCD and anxiety. She has been trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), CBT Enhanced (CBT-E), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Her dissertation focused on disordered eating and body checking behaviors in female college athletes, and she is particularly interested in treating individuals with eating disorders, OCD, and anxiety disorders.  Alyssa is available in person in Houston, TX and is a PSYPACT provider offering virtual services to the following states: AL, AZ, AR, CO, CNMI, CT, DE, DC, GA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, ME, MD, MI, MN, MO, NE, NV, NH, NJ, NC, OH, OK, PA, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WV, WI, and WY.
